Caused by a natural dam of rock debris, the result of a landslide, Maligne Lake is the largest lake in Jasper National Park (22 km./14 mi.). It is the second deepest in the Canadian Rockies at 97 m or 318 ft (second only to the Upper Waterton Lake which is 148 m or 485 ft deep). Photo Tips:
